Second NB Golf Tournament Patrick Does It Again As N. Chima Wins

The 2nd Nigerian Breweries PLC sponsored three-day golf tournament came to an end successful on November 13, 2011, at the Port Harcourt Club 1928 Golf section, with N. Chima emerging overall winner in the three-day tournament.
The success of the tournament would not have been achieved if not for the tireless efforts of Patrick Ejidoh, the Public Affairs Manager, East, of the company.
Despite his tight schedule, the ebullient peace-looking Public Affairs Manager East of the company, made it a point of duty, as he practically supervised every planning stage of the tournament.
This is the second tournament the amiable public affairs Manager had handled, according to his line of duty. Being tested and proven, the company still evoked his charismatic planning and managerial input, even as he was not serving in Port Harcourt. True to his conquering ability he has once again made it happen successfully.
Speaking on behalf of his company at the closing ceremony, Patrick Ejidoh said the first edition of the Nigerian Breweries PLC Golf tournament went well and that brought about the repeat of sponsorship of the tournament.
“People say golf is an elitist game. Golfers should try to break the jinx. In that way you can enlist more members for the game. Golfing should be a friendship participation game, which should go with the spirit of sportsmanship. We do not care who wins the trophy, but the connection it brings is what matters to us. Golfers should look beyond the trophy and ignite the spirit of friendship the game brings, the connection the game brings to the players of the game.”
He concluded by saying that the next edition will even be much more better with the support and partnership showed by the Port Harcourt club 1928 management.
Addressing the golfers, the President of the Port Harcourt club 1928, Barr. Golden Tamuno, appealed to the management of Nigerian Breweries PLC to not only sponsor tournaments, but also identify with Port Harcourt Club 1928 by embarking on projects to immortalize Nigerian Breweries, Plc, in the history of the Club.
He stated that Port Harcourt Club 1928 is a partner with Nigerian Breweries, and added that much of the company’s products are being consumed on daily basis by members of PH Club.
Barr. Tamuno said Port Harcourt club 1928 is not all about clubbing and tournaments alone. There are other unique social projects the club involves and, according to the outspoken President of Port Harcourt club 1928, this is where he wants the Nigerian Breweries PLC to strengthen in the new found partnership between the club and the company.
The tournament that started on November 11, came to an end successful on the 13th as N. Chima carted home the major trophy alongside others winning interesting juicy prizes.
N. Chima was not present to receive his prize.
Nigerian Breweries plc looks forward to sponsoring a much more better tournament next year, God willing. ####
