A Port Harcourt based media consultant, Treasure Timi Dare of Double T Media Production, has advised media practitioners to be focused and passion-driven in practicing the media profession.
Timi Dare, popularly known as Double T, made the assertion while speaking with our correspondent last week, at his office in Port Harcourt.
Dare T is the director of Double T Media Production based in Port Harcourt, specialized in taking care of event planning and management, Digital Video Coverage, Radio and TV jingle production, media consulting and training.
The ever busy media consultant has been around the media industry for the past 12 years after studying marketing and is at home with all aspects of media practice, having acquired major broadcasting and presentation from the famous Alpha Institute of Broadcasting based in Port Harcourt.
According to him, he came into establishing media outfit to take care of those yearning for quality media production, like Radio jingles, video coverage, digital DVD video production. Dare revealed that it has been his childhood dream to own a media outfit, hence he went into acquiring all aspects of media practice by establishing Double T Media Production.
Double T as he is popularly called by his fans, is now a presenter, broadcaster, producer and Master of Ceremony involved in training presenters and broadcasters.
Speaking passionately, he said media practitioners should be focused and passion-driven, pointing out that it is the passion that keeps one going in the media practice because there are times the challenges practitioners face are capable of taking them out of the profession, if there is lack of passion.
He therefore called on practitioners to be passion-driven to see themselves going, stating that media practice is very interesting and demanding, hence it needs doggedness and determination to see one going in the highly challenging profession.
Timi Dare stated that he is not regretting being in the media industry despite its demanding nature.
He used the opportunity to call on all media practitioners never to be deterred by the challenges the profession pose to them but urged them to be focused and passion driven.
Double T also recommended Alpha Institute of Broadcasting (ABC) to shape their knowledge of media practice after acquiring the normal degree in mass communication from higher institutions, adding that after the training they should develop the passion to keep them going in the practice.
He added that he will encourage his children who have the passion to go into the practice, positing that for one to make it big in the practice, one must first get the passion and thereafter get trained for the practice, noting that in that way one is well equipped to strive well in the practice in all ramifications. ###
