Nigeria Security Agents Operate Fire Brigade Approach

Nigeria security agents are not using proactive measures to tackle criminals, rather they use fire brigade approach.
That was the assertion of the Chairman, South-South/South East Council of Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) Alhaji Musa Saidu, as he gave his Eid-el-kabir Salah message in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The Alhaji argued that if the security agents were to use proactive measures, they would have had intelligent reports informing the police of the criminals’ strategies and that by this they would have averted some of the bombing and some other crimes perpetuated in the country.
He said since they have no intelligent report ahead of incidents, they only arrive at scenes of crime after the criminals have finished their evil acts and gone.
He frowned at how soldiers who are supposed to be in the barracks now that it is not a military government, are spread all over the country in the name of Joint Task Force (JTF) squandering funds meant for development, in the name of security that is still elusive.
Alhaji Saidu frowned at insecurity in the country, saying that it creates way for the ruling class to embezzle money meant for development in the name of security votes.
Alhaji Saidu condemned the recent bombing in Yola disassociating Muslims from the act, calling it barbaric and non-religion said that no religion in the world preach killing.
He regretted how people will because of the action taken by some misguided Muslims led by Osama bin Laden carry out crusades the cover of Islamism, and explained that bin Laden’s action was oil politics between the Arabs world and United State of America.
He pointed out that all those who kill had motives even if they hide under religion.
The Arewa leader advised President Goodluck Jonathan never to touch fuel subsidy if Nigeria would remain in peace, arguing that there is no subsidy existing, but rather a ploy and propaganda used by the cartel to siphon national treasury into their pocket.
He said president Yar’ Adua side-tracked the cartel and that President Goodluck should immediately do away with them.
He lauded the Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi for his developmental strides and urged him to improve in security, contain armed robbery attacks in Port Harcourt, especially on bullion vans, killing poor Innocent policemen and members of the public.
Alhaji Saidu advised Muslims living in the south south to use the time of the celebration for sober reflections, free from drugs and live a holy life that glorify Allah and show loyalty, humility and peace in their host community. ###
