PFN Rumumasi Zone Honours Apostle Zilly Aggrey

Apostle David Zilly Aggrey the General Overseer of Royal House of Grace, President PFN and CAN in Rivers State, has added another feather to his cap, as the Rumuomasi zone of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) bestowed on him the,“Transparent and Transformational leadership Award”.
The ceremony took place at the Redeemed Evangelical Mission Auditorum, Ohiamini Street, Elekahia, Port Harcourt city LGA during the Pentecostal Holy Ghost rally tagged “Rekindling Pentecost Fire” and the inauguration of PFN Rumuomasi zone executive advisory council.
In his address, Dr. Lewis Akpogena the chairman of the planning committee, PFN Rumuomasi zone, commended Apostle David Zilly Aggrey, Apostle Dr. Cornelius Uranta JP, the chairman, PFN Rumuomasi zone and members of the advisory council of the zone for giving him and his team the opportunity to serve.
Dr. Akpogena explained that the committee was charged with responsibility to organize the rally-cum-serve in order to inaugurate the new exco for the zone and the advisory council, host the state PFN chairman as well as give him award for the transparent and responsive leadership he has given to PFN in the state and also mobilize member churche ministers and ministries in the zone to provoke bond and enforce the unity and co-operation in order to rekindle the Pentecost fire for more effective fellowship ministering.
According him, “we think and pray when we consider the challenges of our times in our nation and ministries, the security and Islamic challenges, the bickering and dissension among brethren, the unhealthy competition among ministers and lack of effective witnesses in the altar, the near lack of unity and co-operation among ministers.
He added, “Coming together is a start, keeping together is a progress, working together is a success. We pray that the solution is to rekindle the Pentecost fire by our coming together today as it was in the day of Pentecost in one accord, let the holy spirit, the sound from heaven, let it come upon everyone of us today in Jesus name Amen”.
In his speech, Apostle Dr. Cornelius Uranta E. JP, the chairman, Rumuomasi zone of PFN, noted that it was the will of God that brought them together in the same spirit to fellowship with him and other members of the Christendom. He stressed that Christianity is all about fellowship as it affects between God and man, between man and fellow man.
“We believe that a man’s ability to relate and properly enjoy fellowship, embracing one another despite obvious differences, stems directly from the dept or shallowness of the relationship with the master. What a glory will the PN be when we all come together in the same spirit of community, participate, intercourse and as contributors, become equal stakeholders in the responsibility, challenges, opportunities, privileges and benefaction there to attached? Then fellowship is truly effective in the bible sense of it,” he said.
Apostle Uranta who recalled their score csard in the past, noted that the zone has been involved in several worldwide and life changing programmes to straighten churches and encourage ministers in the area such as in the word conference, revival, special prayer meetings, security summit, peace making and reconciliation, high profile personality visit, burial of pastors, loyalty, and participation in the state.
Presenting the zone’s executive council members for inauguration Apostle Uranta charged them to be committed in their duty to serve God either in the season or out of season stressing that they owe not just the people, the responsibility but to God as well as do the right thing in the right thing in the sight of God and be their brothers keeper.
In his response Apostle David Zilly Aggrey thanked Dr. Lewis Akpogena, Apostle Dr. Cornelius Uranta and all the Rumuomasi PFN zone members for the award bestowed on him and for their performance in the zone stressing that they have made him to be under obligation not to disappoint them, describing Dr. Lewis Akpogena and Ayo Odunayo of chapel of Victory International as student and masters of scripture.
Apostle Aggrey who spoke on Rekindling Pentecost fire” urged Christians not to discriminate one another rather should see themselves as one.
The PFN chairman recalled how those in the Pentecostal churches use to regard those in the other denomination like Anglican churches among others as orthodox adding that most of the members who switched over to Pentecostal churches before have returned back to Anglican churches because there is something interesting their adding that the have branches across the nation more than the Pentecostal churches.
Apostle Aggrey who recalled how he was converted by a minister of God and got born again in Diobu in 1985 when he was living at marine base in Port Harcourt also recalled how he started speaking in tongue noted that most churches nowadays are not after how to convert people into Christianity but how to convince them to take their money without repentance.
He urged young ministers not to look after wealth, should respect the senior ministers of God and do the right thing in the sight of God.
Inaugurating the executive council members of the zone Apostle Aggrey charge them to work with the best of their ability and knowledge, with the fear of God to move the zone forward.
He further urged them to be faithful and work in line with the constitution of PFN.
In a chat with journalists Apostle Aggrey who gave God the glory for elevating him as the CAN and PFN chairman in Rivers state stressed that his legacy would be to ensure lasting peace unity, harmony among Christendom as well a the Christians and Moslems in the federation. ###
