This week we are unveiling to the sports loving public, captain (Engr) Bowaduo Ngiangia as the grassroots sports personality of The Newswriter grassroots sports personality of the week.
Engineer Bowaduo is a sports personality in all ramifications. He played Hockey, soccer and also was prominent in representing his school and state in his younger active days. He was the coach of Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) Hockey team that produced silver for the male hockey team, Gold for the female hockey team at Calabar 1980. He also captained his school RSUST Hockey team and won the gold medal for that same year.
This son of the soil, proudly from Tombia in Delga LGA is now working with the state civil service as an engineer and has ventured into playing the game of squash. He is the current captain of the Port Harcourt Club 1928 Squash section . A versatile fellow with amiable character of disposition, humble and committed to work at will with any compromising fellow, he is a delight to be with any day any time. He also represented his school, in his schooling days in athletics and has some silver ware to his credit.

Engineer Bowaduo Ngiangia has just successfully concluded one of the best squash tournament, thePort Harcourtclub squash section has ever organized. Besides being the captain of the section, he has so far proved that he is a good servant leader, as he puts his charisma into work in having every member of the section to love one another in turning things around for the section, which has never happened before in the existence of the section. He is calm, calculative, intelligent, charismatic in nature, loving, honest, caring and above all God fearing. A man good for social position in our society in terms of service. ###
