The Nigeria Immigration Services (NIS)RiversStatecommand, last week Friday promoted 78 hard working and dedicated officers to various ranks.
Decorating the officers into their various ranks on behalf of the Comptroller General of the federation, the state Comptroller of Immigration, Mr. Steve Fimibaima congratulated the newly promoted officials, reminding them that their upliftment in rank was based on their excellent performance and dedication to duty.
“Promotions are usually done on the basis of the abilities of the concerned officers,” the comptroller noted. He also used the occasion to advise those who were not affected by the promotion exercise to have patience and continue to work hard as the command was not ignorant of the enormous positive contributions they are making, because God’s time is the best.
To those that benefited from the promotion, Comptroller, Fimibama, charged them to be ready to carry out the new challenges that go with the promotions, saying, they should see the promotion as additional responsibility to serve their fathers’ land, but should bear in mind also that nowadays, most promotions in the command, attracts transfer and posting to areas where their services are most needed.
In his vote of thanks, one of the assistant comptrollers of immigration, Mr. Delosi, expressed appreciation to their guests who honoured their invitations and charged the newly promoted officers to show more commitments to their duties.
One of the newly promoted officers and the image maker of the command Dr. Saviour Utazi (FCAI) expressed profound gratitude to God and happiness that their little performance were being recognized by the authorities concerned. ###
