NGO Vows To Enthrone Positive Transformation

A non governmental organization, “Change Advocate of Nigeria”, has reiterated its determination to change Nigerians from wrong negative tendencies to a positive ways.

In a chat with journalists at a one day seminar held at the Presidential Hotel,Port Harcourt, last Saturday, Mrs. Christy Anabu, the founder of the NGO who stated that Change Advocate of Nigeria believed in transformation of the minds of Nigerians, revealed that the NGO was founded a year ago to build individuals in good moral mind.

She said the organization meets quarterly to see how they can transform the mind of the people, for better base on the information gathered.

According to her, “We ensured that individuals follow right channels on moral life which would go a long way to better the society”.

On if they were able to reach schools, Mrs. Anabu noted that they could not reach schools but were able to impact knowledge of transformation to other members of the public who also impacted on others including students in various schools.

On the challenges of the NGO, the founder of the organization said members of the public were always interested in fun fair, worldly things, stressing that to change people’s mind was not easy but the NGO was doing its best to ensure that their target of moral upbringing of people in the society was achieved.

Similarly, in her contribution, Hajia Maimum Ahman Pategi, noted that the society was full of corrupt practices and ungodly activities and that the Change Advocate of Nigeria is an NGO determined to change the minds of the society for better.

“We want to purify this attitude of negative tendency into positive. We are working towards purifying people’s minds”, she stated.

On if they are going the rural areas to educate them on how to live moral lives, she noted that the people at the rural level do not have much problems, stressing that they focused more on those in the cities where the politicians, elites, criminals, prostitutes reside and engage in all sorts of immoral and ungodly activities, adding that their duty was to ensure that they live a moral live before they would mount their search light for change to the grass root levels. ####
